NH CITIZENS COMMISSION ON THE STATE COURTS STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING TUESDAY, JULY 12, 2005 Attendees: W. Abbott, K. Eneguess, N. Gardner, J. Squires, E. Hoff, M. Ostrowski, K. Ayotte, A. Smith, L. Kiernan, A. McArdle, Representatives from National Web Group Minutes of Steering Committee Meeting of June 27, 2005: Motion to approve made by M. Ostrowski, seconded by N. Gardner. All members voted to approve. Survey Overview: Andy Smith of the UNH Survey Center distributed a draft of the survey questionnaire and asked that SC members review and give him feedback about what to cut out, what questions should be added. The intent is to start to survey (750 randomly selected NH citizens to be contacted by phone for a 10 minute, 40 question survey) by late July. SC can expect an overview of results at its August 9 meeting, and Andy will have a power point presentation of the full results for the Commission at its September meeting (to be scheduled.) Website: Matt and Rich from National Web Group distributed a map of the website. Website should be up and running within two to three weeks. SC members discussed access to information posted on the website. Commissioners will have access to all public input. SC members will develop a recommendation for the full Commission regarding the frequency with which the Commission can provide information back to the public in terms of the input the Commission receives. Other Agenda Items Not Covered: Because of extensive discussion of the survey and the website, several agenda items will be deferred until the next meeting. These include: locations of listening sessions, detailed review of role of commission members, possible topics for research groups. There being no further business, the meeting concluded at 5pm. Respectfully submitted, Ann McArdle Project Manager
