New Hampshire Citizens Commission on the State Courts Commission Meeting Minutes Legislative Office Building, Concord February 13, 2006 The meeting was called to order at 9:10 am by Co-Chair, Will Abbott. Will asked for comments or questions regarding the recommendation process so far. There was a discussion regarding the concern that a lot of the commissioners present have not been getting emails from the public01@nhcitcourts.org email address. This address needs to be placed into each commissioners email address book in order for it to not be marked as spam by their system’s spam filter. Commissioners were reminded that they should be checking the web site www.nhcitcourts.org for information and meeting dates, etc. Will spoke about next month’s two commission meetings, these will be held on Monday, March 13 and Monday, March 20 in the house chamber. These two meetings will be to deliberate on all 8 research committee’s recommendations. If the 20th is not needed, it will be cancelled ahead of time. All recommendations need to be received by Julie Morris by March 1st. The Steering Committee will meet March 7th and on the 8th these recommendations will be sent out via email to all commissioners as well as be posted on the web site. Will and Kathy are anticipating about 35-50 recommendations will be proposed. For each recommendation it is important that they be only 1 page in length. The first paragraph should state the recommendation and the second paragraph should give the support for why the committee is making this recommendation. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 am and the group broke up into their research committees to further discuss their recommendations. Respectfully submitted, Julie Morris
